What is Reactive Rovers?

Reactive Rovers is a structured drop-off or at-home training program for dogs who over-react to things in their environment. If your dog reacts to people, cars, other dogs or novel objects this is the training program for you. It is recommended that we start with our drop-off program as we have the space and environment to make the most progress at our facility. From there, we can progress to the in-home option to perfect those learned skills in the home environment. 

What will my Dog learn?

We will begin with basic foundation skills such as walking skills, focus around distractions and impulse control. As your dog masters those skills, we will begin working them around their triggers at a distance where they can be successful!

How Successful will my Dog be?

We will teach your dog focus and foundation skills. The success of any training program is in the daily consistency and follow through you provide when you are out with your dog. As part of the program, you will receive a folder of handouts on the exercises we work on with your dog as well as coaching along the way. You also receive 2 private session that are CRITICAL to the success of your dog. When working with a reactive dog, you MUST be able to read their body language, and jump into action to help them make the correct decision in the moment.

Will my dog be “fixed” after this program?

Absolutely NOT! We are starting that process for both you and your dog. After 8 days of this program, your dog should have a very solid foundation of working the needed skills in a distracting environment, but YOU are the critical piece. After this program, you will likely need to continue on with privates sessions and/or our Focused Fido class to perfect YOUR handling skills and ability to help your dog in the moment. Reactivity and/or Aggression are never cured!

The Reactive Rovers Drop-off program:

  • A Behavioral Consultation is required prior to registraton.
  • Working through fear and reactivity is stressful so, this program is designed as a partial day program to help the dogs be successful.
  • This is a 5 week of drop-off training on Monday & Fridays
    • Drop-off is 8:30 am to 9 am
    • Pick-up is 2 pm to 2:30 pm
  • You will also receive 2 x 45-minute private lessons.
    • The first one will be on Day 5 of the program and the second one will be Day 10.
  • You will receive access to our Online Intro to Fear, Reactivity & Aggression course.
  • You will receive our Reactivity 101 Online course for FREE!
  • Access to our Behavioral Coaching Facebook Group
  • Email support during those 5 weeks
  • The cost for all of this is $ 1500
    • The package must be purchased at once to get this price and is subject to our Cancellation Policy.
  • Dogs must be able to be crated and handled safely by our trainers.
