When You Get To Class

Success begins with the right tools for the job. We want everyone’s class experience to be positive so here are some tips for success:

  • Bring your mat and other items in a bag that is easy to carry so you can also work with your dog on coming into and leaving class in a controlled manner. As we teach you the skills, what better way tot practice them!
  • When you arrive choose a spot and get settled in. Choose a different spot each week to help your dog learn to generalize behaviors
  • Keep 6 feet of distance between dogs at all times.
  • DO NOT let dogs greet each other before class begins
  • Check white board for your warm up exercises. You may begin those. The instructor will discuss them and answer any questions.
  • PLEASE pick up after your dog!
  • Bags and waste containers are available out front and in the yard. You may allow your dog to potty on the grass to the right of the building or by the road.

What Should I bring to class?

  • Closed-toed shoes you can safely move in
  • A ton of soft, smelly, teeny-tiny treats
  • Treat bag, fanny pack, or clothing with pockets
  • Buckle or martingale collar and/or harness
  • 4-6-foot leash (no flexi leashes allowed)
  • Long line recommended
  • Your Mat (towel, blanket – something washable & portable)
  • Your dog’s favorite toy
