Shy & Fearful Class

Do you have a dog who is nervous around unfamiliar people, other dogs or in new situations? This is the class for you! We will tackle the world of fear in a safe and inviting environment allowing your dog to build the confidence they need and you to learn about how to support them along the way.

What will we learn in class?

We will cover many topics throughout our 5 weeks of class, including:

• What is fear?
• How your dog looks & feels when they are put in a scary situation.
• Do’s & Don’ts when it comes to dealing with fear.
• Training exercises to build skills, confidence, focus and independence.
• Your dog will learn to navigate obstacles, moving toys, surfaces & more to help build their confidence.
• Intro to Treat/Retreat techniques for building confidence around unfamiliar people
• Intro to Nose work games & Trick training & so much more!

What do I need to do before class?

All dogs must have the age appropriate vaccinations in order to attend our classes.

What is your payment/cancellation/missed class policy?

This is 5-week class that meets once each week at the same day & time. There are not any make up opportunities for missed weeks, but you will receive the homework from each class via email.
