Now that we have discussed a little bit about what Reactivity is. Let’s discuss what it is not.

• Reactivity is NOT your dog being stubborn.
• Reactivity is NOT your dog being dominant.
• Reactivity is NOT your dog trying to be Alpha.
• Reactivity is NOT your dog giving you a hard time.

When a dog is reacting, they are having a hard time dealing with whatever is present in their environment. It is our job to help them learn to handle this situation and to teach them a different response to those triggers. We do that through training, behavior modification and management.
