K9 Nose Work
Inspired by working detection dogs, K9 Nose Work® is the fun search and scenting activity for virtually all dogs and people. This easy to learn activity and sport builds confidence and focus in many dogs, and provides a safe way to keep dogs fit and healthy through mental and physical exercise.
K9 Nose Work® starts with getting your dog excited about using his nose to seek out a favorite toy or treat reward hidden in one of several boxes, expanding the game to entire rooms, exterior areas, and vehicles. As your dog grows more confident with his nose, target odors are introduced, and competition skills are taught.
Prepare for a lifetime of fun with your dog and K9 Nose Work®!

Agility
Dog agility is a sport where you direct your dog through a pre-set obstacle course within a certain time limit. Courses typically have between 14-20 obstacles, which can include tunnels, weave poles, tire jumps, seesaws, and pause tables where the dog must stop for a set amount of time. At each trial you and your dog will race around the unique courses designed for that day. All of this is done with your dog relying solely on the cues and body language you use to direct them on course.
All breeds, including mixed breeds, can participate in Agility – from the smallest to the largest of dogs. Agility is such a great way to really bond with your dog. They learn by following your body language. Something dogs were born to do.

Rally
In Rally you and your dog navigate a course of 10-20 different signs side-by-side. Each of these signs provides instructions regarding the next skill that is to be performed. The dog and handler move continuously throughout the course with the dog under control at the handler’s left side. There is a clear sense of teamwork between the dog and handler both during and between the numbered signs. Although each performance is timed, having a good race time is not the goal; it’s all about working as a team while performing the skills, with the dog under control.
As one of the world’s most famous basketball players, Michael Jordan, once said, “Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships.” When you participate in an AKC Rally event, you get to show off both: Your dog’s talents and the teamwork between you.

Treibball
Would you like to channel your dog’s extra physical and mental energy into a game that promotes teamwork, enhances impulse control & off-leash obedience skills while providing a sense of purpose ? This sport is all about the strong bond that will develop between you and your dog in order to play the game successfully .
Treibball traces its roots to Germany where it was initially developed to keep herding dogs engaged where traditional herding wasn’t possible. The dogs are charged with the task of pushing balls into a goal or moving them between pens at the handler’s direction.
Today, Treibball is a group of four different timed games played with balls proportional to the size of the dog. ANY dog of any age can learn to play! Personality rather than breed is the key component along with the the willingness to form a partnership with your dog that is not leash dependent.

Trick Dog
From the 1920’s and 1940’s when trick dogs such as Rin Tin Tin and Lassie won peoples’ hearts, trick dog training has become one of the most exciting new areas in dog training today. So, with all the training options available, why do tricks? First of all, trick training is fun. Owners enjoy teaching tricks to their dogs. Dogs enjoy learning tricks and earning reinforcers during training. These reinforcers may be a food reward or a very happy, excited owner who is praising the dog.
Tricks are simply behaviors, and learning these behaviors puts the dog in a learning-to-learn mode. Tricks are behaviors that can be done for entertainment, physical activity, or as useful practical skills (e.g., “paws up” so the dog stands with front paws on a stool to raise his head for petting by a patient in a hospital bed).
